Hope you all are having a relaxing and enjoyable weekend! We've been lucky enough to have a long one, with it starting on Friday and continuing through tomorrow! Braedon and Daddy spent Friday together, while Mommy worked on her volunteer coordinating job for Companion Animal Foundation. It was a fun and productive day! Saturday was spent running errands and finding art supplies for Braedon. He loves his new easel he got for Christmas and is having too much fun with his new paints! Today has been quite a blustery Sunday, but we were dying to get outside and get some exercise. We planned on heading out to the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary for a hike to see some birds (Braedon's favorite:)) but after watching the winds blow bay waves clear over the levy, we decided to take a stroll around the Humboldt State University campus instead. HSU is a beautiful college campus with lots of hills to climb, so we thought that a nice walk would do the trick. Once we arrived, Nick and I both realized that it had been a loooooooooong time since we had walked around campus! It seems like so long ago that we both graduated and it took us back through memory lane as we strolled around. The campus is pretty much the same, with the exception of a new building and a new gym and rec room (pretty fancy stuff these days).

We managed to just miss the storm, although it was VERY windy. When we got home, it started pouring rain and has been doing so ever since. They are predicting this to be another BIG one and we're just hoping that we don't lose power! Despite the storm, Nick managed to sneak out for an afternoon surf with the pups:)Hope you all have a wonderful week! (or weekend if you're observing the holiday)

What a cute pic of Braedon on the stump. I ran around HSU last week and had to stop and look at the new rec area. It's super nice! Glad you had a productive weekend. So funny we ran into each other at Costco. We have the same schedule, I think ; ) Stay dry & warm. xoxo.
