I woke up this morning to the smell of coffee brewing and homemade cinnamon rolls. Nick usually wakes up early on Saturdays with Braedon and gets him fed and changed, so I can have a little extra time to myself in bed. How did I get so lucky? The rolls were an added surprise that I was not expecting when I made my way out into the kitchen. After a relaxing morning, we decided to head out to the last Farmers Market of the year. Today was a perfect day for it. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful crisp fall day. The market was packed with people and good spirits. After running into friends, listening to the band playing on the square, and picking up what we needed for the week, we left with a full basket and a very sleepy little boy. Braedon fell asleep the minute he hit the car seat and continued to take a 3 hour nap when we got home!!!! As this afternoon turns into evening, the sun has disappeared and clouds have filled the sky. A cold front is headed this way and as I sit here and watch Nick start to build a fire, I am thankful for the beautiful day we had here in Arcata today. I will miss our Saturday market outings, but also know that the last market means the start of winter and the wonderful holiday season here on the north coast.
