Greetings Family and Friends-
We hope you all had a joyous holiday and are off to a great start in the New Year! We have obviously been a bit behind in keeping you updated on our daily adventures and happenings and we hope to update you a bit more often in 2011. Daily life here on the North Coast has been full of adventures over the past four months, even though you haven't seen them featured here. Braedon turned 2 in September and we celebrated with family and friends in style. He is busy enjoying the outdoors and his newest obsession........CARS! You usually never see him without one in each hand. He especially enjoyed all the Christmas festivities this year, which included a visit to Santa, the cutting of our tree, a lighted Tractor's parade, a tacky Christmas sweater party, cookie baking, and the list goes on. Christmas Eve and day were spent with Grandma and Grandpa Carmack who made a trip down from Gold Beach, Oregon. Braedon was spoiled with lots of gifts from the family and Santa of course and enjoyed every minute of it. I must say, it was so nice to be home for the holidays, just resting and relaxing by the wood stove while watching the rain and hail outside. Nick had the week following Christmas off, so we were able to spend some quality time catching up on things around the house and managed to fit in a fishing trip and a snow day as well!
In other news, we are all getting anxious and excited to welcome the newest member into our family (our baby girl!) the last week of February. Braedon talks about baby sister all the time and tells us he just wants to show her his cars. His exact words are " I show baby sister my cars because that would be very nice." He also enjoys hugging by belly and putting his ear against it to see if he can hear her. It's quite precious!
As part of my New Years resolution, I am hoping to keep up the blog as often as possible. Let's see how it goes. Between being pregnant and chasing a two year old around all day, we manage to keep pretty busy and I can imagine once the baby gets here it will be even more challenging! I do promise to try my best and catch you all up from time to time.
Here's wishing you all the best in 2011! May this year bring you peace, happiness, and good health! See you soon!
