Greetings Family and Friends-
Is it just me, or is it hard to believe it's already December? The frost outside in the mornings and the lights on the houses in our neighborhood are clear signs that the holiday season is well under way. I have to admit I'm feeling a little behind, as we normally get our tree put up the weekend after Thanksgiving. Since we were gone this past weekend, it looks like we'll be cutting it down this coming weekend (can't wait). We do have some festive plans for the days ahead (I'll be sure to keep you all posted on those) and plan to really get out there and enjoy some of the local festivities we are so lucky to have here in Humboldt County. Every year a local newspaper comes out with a calender of events for the month of December. I look forward to this publication every year and have already highlighted the events not to be missed! I'm such a dork when it comes to the holidays. Good thing Nick loves this time of year too, otherwise I think I would drive him crazy!
Other than that, our week has been nothing too exciting. We've been catching up on things around the house since the long weekend and spent today at the park with our friends Jenn and Zinnia. The weather recently has allowed us to spend quite a bit of time outdoors, which we are all really enjoying. I am sorry to report that this weeks posts will be without picture:( I left the camera charger up in Oregon and am waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I have to say, I feel pretty lost without a camera and feel like my posts aren't the same without the daily pictures:( However, I promise to keep posting despite the missing images.
Hope you are all having a great start to your week!
See you tomorrow:)

You should go to the Eureka Truck light parade or the Ferndale tractor parade. Both are very fun!
Love to read your posts! Sounds like you really enjoy life up there!! ~Bree
